I don't feel 29!!

We celebrated my 29th Birthday this weekend. I can't even believe it! I sure don't feel like I am 29 and I don't think that I look 29 either. I had a great Birthday this year. The festivities started two weeks ago with Jarod giving me my first present. He handed me an envelope with my name on it and a countdown of 14 days. Inside was exactly what I wanted "Jersey Boys" tickets! With a little note saying that I could take whoever I wanted but he was available that night. Too funny. I was really excited! Since then we have had a countdown to my birthday with many more presents from Jarod until it was finally here yesterday.

Jarod took me to dinner at The Old Chicago Fire House and then we went to the show. It was amazing!! We had the best time. I would highly recommend seeing it.

I never have pictures on my birthday so we snapped a few as we were all bundled up and running out the door.

Thanks to all of you that sent Birthday wishes and for those of you that treated me to the many lunches and dinners lately for my birthday. I am sure a lucky girl to have so many friends all across the country.

Missing the Warmth!

Jarod and I have really been missing San Diego recently so I thought I would make myself feel better by posting some pictures of our old stomping grounds.

This is one of my favorite pictures! That is Jarod in the background catching a wave and me sitting on my board watching. This picture was taken the first part of March- need I say more?

I think there are a few reasons we have been missing it. It could be because since the end of November it has only been above freezing 7 or 8 days and it has been in the 60's in San Diego. It could be that it is the middle of January and everything looks dead here but the real reason I think we have been missing it so much lately is because over Christmas we went on a ski trip with Rob and Elisha. Our best friends that live in San Diego. We miss living close to them!
This is heaven, otherwise known as La Jolla!

This was Jarod's first trip back in after breaking his leg surfing in Hawaii. I kinda felt like the dad in the background wanting to pull him back to safety but after a few moments out there he was right back where he left off.

Jarod and me in La Jolla right by our house. Oh how we miss it! We would go to the beach all the time to either run, surf or just enjoy the view.
Ok, that didn't help. Now I just miss it more!
