Football Colorado Style

When we were in Colorado we kept up with traditions and played a little football but this time it was in the snow! We had to make our own lines even!
While we were in Denver we went through some old high school stuff. It brought back so many memories for us!! But one of the things we found was all of Jarod's old jerseys. When it was time to go play some ball, Jarod disappeared for a few minutes before coming out in his snow pants and coat. When we got to the park, Jarod surprised us all with his high school football pants and jersey! It was pretty funny! He still looked good in those pants and jersey! It was like old times watching him play football in green and gold!!!

Cabin Adventures

While we were in Denver we went up to the mountains and enjoyed the views! It is so beautiful up there! We went skiing and had the best time and Jacoby did great hanging out in the lodge when he wasn't napping. After our ski trip with everyone the rest of the Jostes' headed home and our little family stayed up at the cabin. We had such a nice time and it didn't take Jacoby long to figure out where his favorite place in the cabin was! He is so obsessed with balls! His poor little cheeks were so red and chapped from the dry air and no humidity in Denver. I am sure that the fire didn't help either so if you see that he cheeks are shiny in these pics it's because we tried to keep an ointment on them to keep them from getting more chapped.

There is a huge pond out front of the cabin and there are ice skates up there so when Jacoby was taking one of his naps Jarod brought some water, a few shovels and a broom outside and created an ice skating rink! It was awesome!

Jarod played a little hockey when we weren't practicing for our pair routine in Vancouver in a few weeks! Jacoby was happy trying to walk on the ice and then he would not sit but lay face down and try to lick the ice- gross!! I think he picked that up after we went sledding and we let him eat the snow. It was pretty cute though and we got some great video footage of him that I am sure he will love in a few years!

Oh if this little boy doesn't melt your heart!

Sledding!!!

On Christmas day, we took Jacoby sledding for the first time! The plan was just to pull him around for a little while and then it turned in to us taking him down on our laps-not so sure how but he absolutely loved it! And he is the cutest snow bunny I know!!

I was REALLY nervous at first and I had to be the first to take him down to make sure it was safe because I knew I would take him slower than Daddy. He kept going wheeee all the way down and after a few times I got a little more comfortable and let his Daddy and Grandpa J take him down.

This picture is fuzzy but it is an action shot! Look how much he loved it! we would get done and he would point to the top of the hill again! I think we discovered that we might have a little bit of an adrenalin junkie on our hands!

It was the best part of our Christmas Day watching Jacoby so happy and trying something new! We love our little adrenalin junkie!!

Christmas in Denver!

This year we spent Christmas in Denver. Jacoby had a great time with his entire toy room at Grandma and Grandpa J's house just for him!

On Christmas morning, Jacoby was so excited to wake up and open his presents! Actually I think he was more excited to pretend the present my mom sent for him was a truck that went vroom, vroom! He always enjoys opening presents and he made a haul this year! The highlight of the morning was opening the present from my mom since she made him the cutest quiet book that I am sure took her hours to make! He also got balls of every size, rubber ducks for the bath, clothes and a big check from Grandma and Grandpa J!

In between opening presents we played horsey with Grandpa J and helped everyone else open their presents!

Santa visited Chicago this year and left some new books, clothes and a backpack for Jacoby to ride in! We can't wait to take him to all the street festivals in it this year! Mommy and Daddy did bring a cute brown and white Christmas outfit with us that he got to open that morning. It was so cute on him but I realized that I didn't get any pictures of him in it!
Christmas was so fun with Jacoby this year and he really enjoyed it!

Christmas Eve

I don't know why these pictures posted this way but oh well!
On Christmas Eve, everybody headed to Christmas mass but Jacoby slept through it and I was ok with that! Jarod was pretty sure that I planned it that way!
When everyone got back, Jacoby and I hurried and got dressed and the neighbor girl came over and took pictures. I am not a big fan of any of the pictures of me but that is what you get when you were up the whole night before with a little stinker!
