11 Weeks

My baby is going to be three months old next week and I cannot believe it! I wanted to write a few things down that he is doing so I don't forget.
1. Jacoby still loves bath time and gets so excited when we put him in the tub.
2. He really loves his bouncy chair. When he was born we got this high tech swing and bouncy chair and he doesn't like either one of them but when I was home last time we tried out the one that my mom had used with Lacy and he loves it so we brought it home.
3. He really enjoys going to Mommy and Me Yoga. He talks and smiles the entire time and loves the yoga poses that I do with him. He really likes the big circles with his entire body (that's hard to explain!)
4. He is doing better in his car seat- thank goodness but it is still not his favorite place to be. The other day at the end of yoga he was getting tired and I wanted to finish with the class so I put him in his car seat and I about fell over when he fell asleep!
5. Not enjoying tummy time as much as he used to but really enjoys playing on the floor.
6. Still in some of his 0-3 month clothes but most of his clothes are 3 month size now because he is so long. Still in size one diapers.
7. Jake is smiling all the time and squealing when he gets excited. He is such a happy baby in the mornings and is usually a little fussy at night.
8. He has been going to bed between 9-9:30, getting up between 2-3 and again between 6-7 for the day. He still loves to be swaddled and sleeps in the bassinet. During the day he has a hard time staying up past an hour or an hour and a half before he is ready for a nap.
9. Blows bubbles like crazy!
10. Is finding his hands and kicks his legs when he gets excited or mad.
11. When Jarod is working in the back and he yells up at us Jacoby looks all around for him until he sees him.
12. He smiles every time I moo like a cow! Only when I moo though no other animal noises. Trying to not let it give me a complex since most of the time that is what I feel like since I am nursing :)
13. He loves to be outside and really enjoys being in his Bob or in the carrier. When the wind kicks up he gasps and hides his face in whatever is next to him. Too funny!
14. Every time I pull the camera out or the video camera out the smiles disappear. He is too busy staring at the big black thing that is in front of his face.
15. He thinks he can talk and carries on big conversations with his stuffed animals or mom and dad. He does this sad little sound these days and sticks his bottom lip out. You can't help but laugh.
15. He still loves sleeping on his mom and I love it too!!!

Our Little Valentine

Jacoby had not one but two Valentine's outfits so we had to make sure to get pictures in both of them. We had a pretty low key Valentine's this year. Jarod and I had this big plan that we were going to put Jacoby in the Baby Bjorn and make Valentine's cookies even though he wasn't going to get it but it is a tradition that we wanted to continue with him. Well Jacoby had another plan and was very fussy that night so we ended up putting him to bed and Jarod and I decorated cookies until 11 pm. We had a good time and hopefully next year Jacoby will stay up for the festivities.
"Mommy pick me up and hug your little Valentine!"

He looked so cute in both of his little outfits. So Stylish!

Jacoby got this new toy for Valentine's Day and he thinks it is great!!! He loves it and it is so entertaining to watch him. He also got three other Valentine's from his Mamma, Great Grandma Leinen and Great Grandma Gill (Grandma GG).
He is such a joy and we love our little Valentine even when he doesn't want to decorate cookies!

My Grandpa

My Grandpa passed away last week after battling cancer for quite a while. I just saw him a few weeks ago and I really thought that I would see him again when I go home next week. Unfortunately, my grandpa had a stroke the day after I left Boise and fortunate for him he went really fast after that and passed away last Wednesday.

I was not able to make it back to Boise for the funeral but Ash took these amazing pictures and I wanted to share them of my Dad. My Grandpa served in the military all over the world and to say he was patriotic was an understatement! I know that he is proud to lay at Veterans Memorial next to the other vets that he fought along side for our freedom for so many years.

Gary Monroe Domeny

Gary Monroe Domeny
Gary Monroe Domeny passed away Feb. 11, 2009, at his home in Horseshoe Bend, after a courageous fight with cancer. He is survived by his daughters, Micki, Keli and Diana; his son, Jim; sisters, Donetta and Saundra; and several grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Gary was born in Ft. Morgan, Colo. on May 11, 1937, to Ruth and Clyde Domeny. He attended Nampa and Boise High Schools and then joined the Army to travel the world. While in the military Gary served in Vietnam, Korea, Germany, and several states in the U.S. After being honorably discharged in 1980, Gary returned to Boise with his family and went to work for the State of Idaho as an investigator for the Board of Pharmacy. When he retired from the State, Gary chose a warmer climate and moved to Lake Havasu, Ariz. where he played a lot of golf; his favorite pass time. Gary had a love for music, which he shared with his family at home and on long road trips. Several hours were spent singing and having a great time on summer vacations; be it in the car or around a camp fire. Gary loved to pull out his guitar and start singing. He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, motorcycles, cards, reading (especially a good western, biography, or an intriguing mystery), and his little dog, Thumper, who gave him much happiness through his pain. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. at Summers Funeral Home, downtown Boise location, with viewing 30 minutes prior to service time. Gary will be buried with full military honors at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, off Hill Road, at 1p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009. Gary was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammie, his son, Steven, and his mother and father, Ruth and Clyde Domeny.

Cute Cousins!!

We attempted on getting some shots of the boys for my Mom and Dad. Jacoby was tired and cried most of the time but it was so cute watching Michael try to soothe him and Boden look at him like he was thinking "What are you crying about?". They are such cute boys and I cannot wait to watch them grow up together.

My Idaho Baby Shower

While I was home, my family threw a shower for Jacoby and me. Ashlee made these adorable cookies and they were so good!!! She also made the cutest invitations for the shower. Thanks Ash for everything! Thanks mom for the cute decorations! Also a big thanks to Aunt Heidi for hosting! You guys are the best!
We didn't do a very good job of taking pictures that night and I didn't even get one of Jacoby and me. Could have been that he was making the rounds that night :) but here are a few pictures.
Raech and Lac- I cannot believe these girls are seniors!!

Aunt Michelle and Ryder

Me and the cute bear that my Grandma knitted for Jacoby. It is so cute and he loves it!!
Thanks everyone for all of our gifts! I think he is set for a while and will be the best dressed kid around. Love you all!

TURNING 30!!

Wow! I am not sure where the last 30 years have gone. I don't feel old enough to be 30. I know that a lot of people struggle with turning 30 but I welcomed it. My twenties were the best! To think back to when I was 20 it is hard to believe that I am the same person. I have done so much growing up since then and have experienced many things. I moved away from home, graduated from college, got engaged and married, moved to San Diego and then to Chicago, traveled, ran a half marathon, started a non-profit organization and FULFILLED MY DREAM OF BECOMING A MOMMY!

My 30th Birthday!

I was so lucky and got to celebrate my 30th Birthday in Idaho with my family!!! We celebrated the same day that Jacoby blessed since Jarod was flying out on my actual birthday the next day.
I can't believe that I am 30!!! Ash made me this yummy cute cake- thanks Ash!!

Jarod had flowers sent for my Birthday. It was a little bit of a challenge according to him since not many companies deliver flowers to Horseshoe Bend!! They were gorgeous and smelled so nice. He also got me a really neat necklace that I will have to do a post on later, a new wallet and we are heading to the BEACH!!! So excited for our vacation but first I have to decide where and when we are going. I am thinking I will wait a little while so I look better in a swimming suit :)

Jacoby was two days shy of 8 weeks old on my 30th Birthday! I always said I wanted my first baby by the time I was 30 and I inched it in there!! He woke up the morning of my Birthday with big smiles for me. That was the best birthday present ever!!!

Jacoby's Blessing

While we were home we had Jacoby's blessing on January 25. In my religion, baby's are not baptized at birth but we announce their name and give them a blessing or a prayer on the baby. Most of the time they are blessed with things like health and happiness. My Dad gave Jacoby a beautiful blessing and it was so nice to be in Boise and have so much of our family there for this special occasion.
My Mom crocheted Jacoby's blessing outfit. It was beautiful and so special that my Mom made it. Thanks Mom so much! I can't thank you enough for taking the time to make it. It really meant a lot to us and it turned out perfect!!

My Dad gave Jacoby such a beautiful blessing and I was so glad that he was able to do it! We had a pretty big circle with our wonderful family. Jacoby lost his pacifier in the middle of the blessing and it landing in between Josh and Brandon. They both commented that they wanted to plop it back in so bad but couldn't so Jacoby whimpered through the whole thing.

Proud Paka and Mamma. Thanks to both of you for making this such a special day for all of us. We love you so much!

I am so blessed to have such amazing parents that are such wonderful people and great examples. Jacoby is so lucky to have them for his grandparents.

Rylan and Jacoby. Rylan is Royal's son and was born one week and a day BEFORE Jacoby! My little guy doesn't look so little next to Rylan. I couldn't believe how much bigger he was.

Just checking each other out. How fun to have them so close in age!!

Jake and his Daddy!!! These two love each other so much and I am absolutely love to watch them interact. Jarod is such an amazing Daddy and Jacoby's face lights up whenever he sees him. The next day Jarod flew out of Boise to North Carolina and they were not together for 4 days. It was hard on both of them and me but we were so excited when we met up in the airport back home.

Lovin on my baby. I just cannot get enough of him!!!
During Sacrament meeting both of my parents spoke and did an amazing job. There was not a dry eye around- shocking for my family! I know that my Mom was not excited to talk that Sunday since she had a few other things going on but it was so neat to have them speak. Lacy was suppose to speak as well but instead she convinced Ashlee and I to sing with her. We sang the Prmiary song, "My Savior's Love." I love singing with my sisters but it was even better this time because Jacoby was singing with us! Jarod was holding him and as soon as he heard me singing he decided to sing along with his cute little coo.

I am such a big boy! Showing off my beautiful outfit!! I had measured him the week before on the phone with my mom so she could finish it up before we got there. In one week, he grew and it was a good thing we did it when we did or else it would have been too small. He is a growing boy!

Our beautiful baby boy. My Grandma commented when we were home that he has such a sweet presence about him. He truly does. He is beautiful inside and out and I feel so lucky that he is mine.

I was so glad that my Grandpa was able to come. My Grandpa has terminal cancer and was in the hospital that week but he was able to come and meet Jacoby. Four generations of Domeny's. My Grandpa looked at my Dad and around the room and said, "This all started with us and look at it now." Our thoughts and prayers are with him.

Jacoby and all of his little friends. So this is just some of the little ones in my family now. Look at all of those boys!! Poor Rainy.
Rainy, Stellar, Michael and his Herbie (the only way I could get him to hold still was to tell him that I was taking a picture of his Herbie car), Boden (he is such a ham and smiled in every picture!) and in the front row we have Jacoby and Rylan.
It was such a special day! Thanks to everyone for coming and for your love and support!

The Big Meeting

I was so excited when we landed in Boise! I could hardly contain myself. I think everyone was just as excited. My Mom, Dad, Ash, Brandon, Lacy, Kimber, Boden and Michael were at the airport to greet us. My mom was so patient and let everyone else hold and meet Jacoby before she took him. We had missed her and were so excited to see her again!
Ash was the first to get her hands on Jacoby.
My Dad was next. It was love at first site with these two. Jacoby loves his Paka. I personally think my dad looks great wearing my diaper bag.

Lacy meeting her new nephew.

Aunt Kimber and Jacoby
After we left the airport, we went to Coldstone's to meet up with my Aunt Heidi and Grandma.

Jacoby and his Great Grandma. I was so excited for her to see him.

Ty is currently in POST for work but as soon as he got done he rushed over to meet Jacoby. It was great to see him and I am so glad Jacoby passed the test :)

Fun In Idaho

We had such a good time in Idaho and I took over 300 pictures! So here are just a few of us just hanging out.

Boden and Jacoby talking to each other. Boden could not get enough of Jacoby and always wanted to be right next to him. It was so cute!

Ty and his boys. They are getting so big! I couldn't believe it.

Boden is teething and sucking on everything including my toes. I guess it is better than his Dad's shoes which he was going for before my socks.

My sisters. I love you both!!

Jacoby and Aunt Ash

Paka and Jacoby relaxing on the couch.

I love this picture! Life doesn't get much better than this for Michael. He looks so content.

Lac and Jacoby in their coordinating jammies. Too cute!

Michael in my mom's glasses sitting in her chair looking at blogs- jk!! He was just looking at the computer but it was hilarious because he was even sitting like my mom sits.
