Halloween

This year Jacoby was a giraffe, which was the most fitting costume for our little guy since he LOVES giraffes. Last year my mom bought him this costume but it was too big for him last year so I saved it until this year. I remember thinking I hope he likes giraffes as much next year and lucky for me he still does.
He looked so cute in his costume and he was so excited for all the festivities.
Here he is pretending to eat leaves out of our tree that is right next to him.
Sticking his tongue out like giraffes do.
He loves to pretend he is all sorts of animals and he was having so much fun being a giraffe- it was so funny!
I love this picture of my little boy and me!
Daddy surprised us with this huge M&M guy on Halloween night. He told us he had a surprise for us and this is what it was. Jacoby was so excited.
Love my boys!
The giraffe wanted to kiss his baby giraffe.
Jarod and I were so excited to take him real trick or treating this year! Here he is heading to his first house.
Waiting for our neighbors to answer the door. He loved trick or treating and we had so much fun taking him. Our neighborhood was packed with kids and all of our neighbors just pulled out their lawn chairs and sat on the front yard visiting. Jacoby was such a good boy and was so cute going up to them to say trick or treat and some time trick or treaty. Then they would give him the candy and he would say thank you and then he would stand there like he still wanted to visit. He had pretty funny conversation all night with our neighbors telling them all about giraffes and all his candy. Then when he was done visiting he would run as fast as he could back to us yelling, I got some more- look I got some more.
We only did one street and look at his stash.
This was the best Halloween yet and Jarod and I had a blast taking him. He was too cute and the biggest hit of the neighborhood.

Halloween Prefestivities

We had so much fun celebrating Halloween this year and it started early at our house. We went to the zoo for the first time the other day and loved it so much we bought a pass. It's a great zoo and Jacoby loves it. They were having trick or treating at the zoo so we decided to go check it out.
Jacoby could not wait to go and show the giraffe his giraffe costume. That was all he could talk about and as soon as we got there that is where we had to head first.
He can't whistle but he likes to make the noise like he is so he kept whistling at the giraffes to try and get there attention and would say, "I'm a giraffe too. Look at me giraffe." It was so cute!
Since we have only been a few times every time we see something new. Well this time we decided to go in the bird house and this bird flew down and landed right next to my hand that was pushing the stroller and would not get off. It scared the crap out of me and Jarod said he hadn't seen me move that fast since being pregnant. We finally got him off but it took forever.
Jacoby showing his Mama the sights
For gymnastics the kids were suppose to dress up but his little giraffe costume is so hot I decided to come up with something different.
Mary gave him these Thomas overalls and my mom made him this hat for the Christmas train ride last year. It worked perfect! I thought he looked adorable and he thought it was so fun and kept saying, "All aboard, choo-choo".

28 Weeks

Here I am in all my 7 months glory! The beginning of this pregnancy seemed to fly by and the closer I get the farther is seems I have to go. I am just so excited to meet this little baby and I feel like I have been pregnant forever. I feel so much bigger this time and I am the same weight at 28 weeks that I was when I delivered Jacoby (minus one pound) so I am bigger but I think the reason I feel so pregnant is that I am chasing another one around or packing him.
This pregnancy continues to be completely different from my first and I am carrying everywhere this time around instead of straight out front.
I am addicted to anything pumpkin right now. I have tried at least seven new pumpkin recipes this season.
I have been so busy educating myself on labor and delivery. My new obsession!! I find it completely fascinating and amazing what our bodies are capable of doing. I have read at least 8 books on birthing and feel like even though I have done this before this one will be so different because I will actually know what is going on within my body. I love learning about the birthing process and find myself in complete amazement about the entire process.
I am so ready to meet this sweet baby. I still go back and forth on what I think this little one is but one thing I know for sure this baby is mine and it is coming when it is suppose to come. When I first got pregnant I was really nervous about how I was going to handle two. I remember being so overwhelmed since my first is so attached. It's funny how things work out fast forward six months and my Jacoby is so much more like a little boy and getting bigger and bigger everyday. Don't get me wrong he is still as attached as ever but he wants to be big and surprises my every day with how much he is growing up. He is so excited about this baby and talks about it or to it all day long. He is very concerned about his Mama and wants to make sure that I am ok all the time. He picks up pretty quick when I am not feeling well and runs and tells his Daddy. I had a bloody nose the other day and he looked at me and said, "I'm going to go and get Daddy". He ran upstairs and Jarod was in the shower, he threw back the shower curtain and told him I was bleeding. In the meantime, I was trying to waddle up the stairs as fast as possible because I knew Jarod would freak out. I was yelling it's just my nose but he was out of the shower faster than I could get up there.
Last night I was having contractions and Jacoby woke up Jarod and just pointed at me. Then told him I was having contractions. He was so worried about me. He held my hand and rubbed my back. I finally told him after about thirty minutes that I was really ok and he could go to sleep now. I knew he wouldn't go to sleep until I told him that I was ok and he knew it. He is so caring about me and the baby and I know that he will be an amazing big brother.
I am caring the baby diagonally across my belly. The baby's head is really low on my left side so much that it feels like I am laying on this poor babies head when I lay on my left side. The baby's little feet are clear up high on my right side. I can feel the little feet moving all the time and can feel the babies head in my palm and feel the little arms and hands move. I love to feel the baby move! I was surprised that the baby is already starting to move down but I know exactly when it happened. I had just went to a yoga labor class and then left there and went to the zoo with the boys. The next day I was having contractions all day and sure enough the baby was very busy and turned diagonally up side down.
I am so in love with this baby and I cannot wait to meet him or her!

Pumpkin Patch and Carving

Can you tell how excited some body was to go to the pumpkin patch?

And this one was awesome! It had a big tractor.

Lots of animals and we even got to go on a carriage ride around the farm.

I love this pic of my little boy watching the world go by.

This was a huge pumpkin patch and was so muddy. Jacoby thought it was great but he was taking his hunt for the perfect pumpkin very seriously.

Jar and I were wondering if he was ever going to find the perfect one.

and then he found it! He kept saying it's perfect, it's perfect!! He was so excited!

We took it home and made pizza for dinner and then started carving.

He was a huge help this year but still didn't want to put his hand in the pumpkin. He used a spoon but he did help me sort out all the seeds and thought that it felt slimy and silly.

Daddy and Jacoby Jack-o-lanterns

He was very particular on how Daddy carved it this year. He wanted two circle eyes like his. A triangle nose because that's what his looks like. He wanted a big smile with 3 teeth and Daddy had to add ears because the pumpkin needed ears to hear.

They are really into the thumbs up thing these days. Comes from mowing the lawn together. Anyway here they are with the pumpkin. It was such a fun day!

Raking Leaves

We are really enjoyin the yard work that come along with actually owning a house! We get excited about the little things like raking leaves. We had a blast! I am sure this will wear off quickly but we are going to enjoy it for as long as possible.

As soon as we got the leaves raked, Jacoby couldn't wait to jump in.

and he did it again

and again. He thought it was hysterical every time and so did we.

I am so glad that we have such a happy boy. He is so much fun and we really do enjoy being with him.

He keeps me laughing all day long with his funny things he says. I am never sure what he is going to say or tell any one.

He is a Mama's boy through and through and I love it!

I am so thankful that I get to spend everyday with him and watch him grow and develop. He is so stinkin smart and picks up and remembers everything. He is so kind and loving especially with me and is the best cuddler ever. We still spend lots of hours each day cuddling and when he gets hurt he tells me he just wants to cuddle with his Mama. He melts my heart every day and I am so thankful this little boy is mine.

Florida for Daddy's Birthday

For Jarod's Birthday this year we decided to take a trip to Florida. Uncle Connor is living in Tampa coaching the number 3 high school team in the country and we thought it would be a great get away for our little family.

We got there and went to the game on Friday night. Ok, it really wasn't a game. Yes, that is 80-0. It was a huge blow out.

But that was ok, we had the best time playing on the field after the game.

Jacoby is really into playing football right now and every night we have to clear the field (clean up the toy room) so him and his Daddy can play football.

He had so much fun playing with Daddy and Uncle Connor. He even puts his hand up and whistles before he runs 20 yards to the football for kick off.

He has quite an arm but he still throws left handed and bats left handed. He does everything else right handed so we are still not sure if he will be a leftie or not.

After the game in Tampa, we headed south to Long Boat Key. Jacoby was so excited to be at the beach! We put our stuff in our room and headed out to see the beach. Within two minutes he was in the ocean clothes and all. He just couldn't wait any longer. Then we got to the hotel room and he jumped on the bed naked, singing about how excited he was to be at the beach. Life is good I tell you for this little guy. And we could not stop laughing.

He could not wait to get back to the beach.

I can barely still see my toes

The water is so clear and beautiful

We had the best time playing in the water, building sand castles and I even got to read about child birth.

Connor came and saw us on Sunday and we headed to Siesta Key for the drum circle that they do every Sunday night at sunset. Lets just say it was really interesting people watching.

But the beach was incredible! It is known as the prettiest beach in America and I have to tell you I agree. The sand is white like powder and the sunset was beautiful.

I tried to get as many pictures as possible before the sunset. Here I am 26 weeks pregnant.

Jacoby showing his gymnastics moves. He was rolling and jumping all over. The sand was so soft that he thought he was on mats at gymnastics.

Our sweet baby

Love this pic of the boys!

and yes I went a little camera happy trying to get some pics of the boy.

It was a beautiful night with my family and Uncle Connor. We had the best time!

Then we headed back to Long Boat, Connor headed home and the next day we woke up and spent the day at the beach and the pool all over again. It was so nice for us to get away for a little while. It has been crazy here with the move and Jarod starting his new job. Jacoby asked his Dad every morning if he had to go to work today and when he said no, Jacoby would start cheering. We love spending time together especially at our favorite place, the beach!
