Disneyland!

After we left the Ranch, we drove to Anaheim to meet up with Rob, Elisha and Brayden to take the boys to Disneyland. We were so excited! Jacoby had been talking about it for weeks and he could not wait to see Mickey Mouse!

I love Disneyland but what I love even more is taking my child there and watching his face light up all day long.

When I was in Boise a few weeks before, my mom and Ash helped me make this adorable shirt for Jacoby. He was so excited to wear it.

The first character we saw was Goofy and Jacoby couldn't even hold still in line he was so excited. As soon as it was his turn, he took off in a full sprint and hugged Goofy. It was adorable.

He just let Goofy hug on him and enjoyed every minute of it.

So, so happy!

As soon as we were done with Goofy, Pluto showed up. He ran right up and gave him a big high five and danced the whole way up there and the whole way back to us.

But the one that was the most exciting for him was Mickey Mouse. He is a tad obsessed with Mickey and Mickey did not disappoint.

It always surprises me how well he does with the characters and how excited he is to see them. Poor Brayden wasn't nearly as excited to see any of the characters.

After standing in line to see the characters it was time for some rides. The first ride of the day was Jacoby's first roller coaster ride. Jarod was the lucky one who got to take him this time. He LOVED every minute of it! He was giggling and saying "Go faster" the entire time. I am pretty sure I have a little adrenaline junkie on my hands.

It was already so hot and it was only early morning but lucky for us we found the air conditioned ride on "It's a Small World".

This was his face the entire time. He was just taking it all in.

Then it was baby's turn for a ride on the carousel at 13 weeks.

The Benson's enjoying the ride

Jacoby loves carousels!

By this time we were all so hot and sweaty and the boys were getting tired that we went back to the hotel for lunch and naps. Then we headed back for a late night at Disneyland.

Waiting for the parade to start

Once the parade started the boys got on their Daddy's shoulders to see

and as soon as he saw Mickey Mouse he was in heaven again

He just loved it!

Before the big firework show we decided we would take the boys on one more ride. We choose the Dumbo ride and it took forever. Jacoby did pretty good standing in line waiting his turn but he was ready to be out of the line. He loved the ride though and was all smiles.

Then we headed over for the Fantasmic show- which I love. It was great but we got there a little late so it was hard to see. There were a few parts that Jacoby was not a fan of. He also got a little scared in Pirates of the Caribbean and so he had to sit on my lap the entire time but as soon as we got off, I asked him if that was scary and he said, "No, I like pirates."

I stole a kiss standing in line waiting for Nemo. He loved this ride as well. He says that his favorite rides are Nemo, the animal ride, and the roller coaster.

On the way out Jarod and I had to get our traditional treat which is a candied apple. We do every time we go to Disney so we had to keep tradition. Jacoby was hilarious eating his apple with his legs crossed. He keeps us laughing. We had a great day and our little boy was amazing. We had him out really late on west coast time and he was a trooper. He loved every minute and Jarod and I did to just watching him. It is so much fun to take him to see Disney and watch his face and see how much he enjoys it.

Fourth of July

Of all the years we have been going to the Ranch we have never been there for the fourth of July and it was amazing! Probably the best fire work show I have ever seen. It helps that we were right under neath them I am sure as well.

Our little American boy

Kelsey and him got these glow in the dark strings. I tell you hours of entertainment. His favorite thing to do was throw them around like rings.

Our growing family.

Yes, growing. Me at 12 weeks. I can't believe that I am showing this much at 12 weeks. Makes me a little nervous for what I will look like at 40! :)

Jacoby loved the fireworks. On the way over we were telling him that they were going to be loud but if he got scared to cuddle with mama and daddy. When they started he turned to me and said, "There not that loud just a little bit loud." Thanks for the clarification but I am pretty sure they were really loud Jacobes. He danced to the music and was mesmerized by the fireworks. I was amazed at how well he did with them. Not to mention that he is a huge fan of Katy Perry's "Firework" now since they played it so many times while we waited for them to start. He sings it all the time.

I am proud to be American and I am trying to help Jacoby with his Patriotism at a young age. He knows what flag the United States flag is on his map full of flags and whenever we are out and about he gets really excited if he sees one.

I know that times are tough with the economy but I know that this is the land of the free and I am so thankful for all of our freedoms and the sacrifices that so many people made for me so that I could have the freedom that I enjoy.

The Ranch

When Jarod and I lived in California we used to frequent the ranch quite often. At least for Thanksgiving and one time during the summer but most years it was much more than that. We hadn't been back in six years so it was really nice to go back to a place that we have such great memories.

Jacoby had a blast on the boat and wanted to drive all the time. He also got to ride on the tube for the first time. He was so excited and just wanted to go faster and faster. He kept putting his thumb up to motion to go faster. It was really funny. Jarod and I rode with him and it was such a great memory for our little family because it is something that Jarod and I love to do. When we weren't on the boat we were riding four wheelers and having great conversation with the Shaws and the Greens. Jacoby also loved playing with all the dogs and watching the boys play video games. They would give him a remote and he thought he was playing too. We had a very nice relaxing time- just what we needed with our crazy life right now!
