Easter Egg Hunt

We took Jacoby the week before Easter to the Madeira Easter egg hunt at Madeira high school.  It was a cold, rainy day but he had a great time.  We got there a few minutes before it started so we ran from the car and got there just in time.  He was so excited!
As soon as the alarm went off he was off running towards the eggs.  He picked a few up and thought that he was done until we told him to keep picking them up and then he meant business.  He ran around and got a few more and loved every minute of it.

Afterwards, we went over and met the Easter bunny.  He thought that was pretty cool.
Jace enjoyed the morning festivities in the Ergo.  He slept the entire time.

Since we were on the football field, Jacoby was certain that Daddy and him needed to play football.  The ran around and tackled each other, both laughing the entire time.  I love to watch them play together.  It was a little cold so we asked him if he wanted to go and get some hot chocolate but he said he wanted to go home and make his own, so we did.  It was a great morning with my little family.

Reading Books

Jacoby is such a good big brother.  He loves Jace!  Every night we ask him what his favorite part of the day was and 9 out of 10 times he says playing with Jace.  He loves to try and get him to smile or laugh and he told me yesterday that he has been doing lots of exercises so that he is the strongest boy ever so he can pick up Jace.  I tried to explain to him that even if he was the strongest he shouldn't pick him up but he was too busy flexing his muscles.  He also enjoys kissing him all over all the time.  Jace is usually a pretty good sport until he has had enough.  The other day Jace smelled like mustard and I couldn't figure it out and then I remembered that Jacoby had mustard on his sandwich for lunch and then proceeded to kiss his head over and over again.  One of my favorite things Jacoby does is read books to Jace and as you can see it puts Jace right to sleep almost every time.

Grass

We planted new grass last fall and this spring it came in like crazy!  Jarod was so excited.  It was so long that Jacoby liked to hide from Daddy and thought it was hilarious when he found him.  Jarod and Jacoby are really enjoying the yard work and Jace and I enjoy watching them do it!

Jacoby Skiing

My little skier!! After we left Boise we went to Denver to take Jacoby skiing for the first time. I knew he would love it I just didn't know how much he was going to love it! He yelled whee the entire time and every time we stopped he asked if we could go again or if we could go faster. He loved going on the chair lift too. He was certain that he had fast powers that day. He is always some sort of super hero theses days with different powers. It was so much fun taking him and watching him enjoy it so much! He skied for about 3 1/2 hours. Jarod was worn out from helping him but I think that Jacoby could have gone longer. He started the day in between Jarod's legs and finished the day skiing side by side. He as amazing!

Blake William Patterson

At 12:30 am on March 22, when I was home Lacy's water broke. To say I was excited to be there for this big day was an understatement. As soon as she got to the hospital and texted that it was go time I was up all night so excited for her! Then we started making plans that I would go in and take pictures and I got even more excited but as the day progressed poor Lace wasn't. I had to leave for the airport at 3:30 and at 3 I was at the hospital and the checked her and she was still only a four. I was so bummed. It was probably the hardest it has ever been on me to leave Boise this trip. My little sister was going to be a Mommy and I missed it by a few hours! After 23 hours of labor, Blake William Patterson came into the world. Blake, I can't wait to meet you and hold you and tell you how wonderful your Mama is and how strong she was delivering you. I am so proud of my baby sister and can't wait to meet my newest nephew! Blake and Jace are exactly almost to the hour ten weeks apart!
Now Ash is up next!!!

Right of Passage

Some of my fondest memories with my dad when I was a little revolved around scouts and his company and when I would go to work with him my favorite thing to do was play with the air compressor. I still love to play with the air compressor! Jacoby found it this time and loved it. It's a right of passage for a Domeny to be around big tools, wood and the air compressor.
It brought me back to my days when I was younger at the home and garden shows as well. I was about his age and older when I would go around to the other cabinet makers and tell them my dad was better to their face. I still think that my dad is better but I don't think I am nearly as gutsy :)
He was really interested in what my dad was doing this time and wanted to know what everything was. Now he tells me all the time all the stuff Paka is going to build for him. Right now his list includes a tree house and spaceship to go and get moon rocks. He sure loves his Paka!!

Lacy's Shower

While I was home we had a baby shower for Lace. It was so much fun seeing everyone and I had the best time visiting without a three year old. Thanks Dad!! I am not sure if he will ever watch all three boys again. They had a great time going on an Easter Bunny hunt and a walk to get icecream holding onto the carrot rope- that's what Jacoby calls it but Jacoby also ran way ahead one time. He told me that he saw the Easter Bunny and had to go and check it out and he also peed on Michael. My poor dad. He said that he was trying to get to the bathroom but he was stuck behind the table so he thought my mom's turquoise stool look like a toilet and Michael's pant leg happened to be right there. I don't think Michael will ever forget it. He wasn't the only one that was a little naughty but I think next time we won't leave all three together.
Grandma GG got to love on Baby Jacers and Lace got some really cute stuff. I gave her a Baby Bjorn. I love my ergo but Jarod loves the Bjorn and since she registered for the Bjorn, Jarod thought she had to have it. I think she will come to the dark side before long.
I love these beautiful girls so much! Kimber looks so tall because she was the only one that had shoes on and heels at that. She is usually a shortie just like the rest of us.
I can't believe that we are going to have four babies in 8 months! How fun is that. Here is the order and we are going to try and get this shot a few times until Baby Domeny #3 gets here. It was so much fun being pregnant with them- even if I didn't know about Kimber until after Jace was born. I love my sisters and I am so glad that our kids are so close in age.

Jace's Blessing

My Dad gave Jace a name and a blessing on March 18. It was a very special day for a very special little boy.
This was the best family picture we got all day. Pictures are so much fun with a three year old! This is his new smile- just ask him.
My mom made Jace's outfit. It is linen and so sweet. It was perfect for my little boy.
The blessing was very short and sweet but it did bless Jace with knowledge, health, love and that he would be close with his siblings.
They did it a little different this time and asked that Jarod and I walk up with the people that were in the circle. Then we sat on the first pew and listened. Jacoby stayed with my mom.
He didn't make a peep the entire time even though he was wide awake. I had just nursed him. Afterwards, my dad handed him to Jarod and Jarod held him up for the congregation to see him and at that exact moment he sneezed really loud. It was hilarious!
Mama and Paka, Ty, Kimber, Michael, Boden, Ash, Brandon, Emma, Lacy, Brian, Grandma GG, the Gills and the Miller's were there. We took up a lot of rows. After the blessing, we passed Jace around during the rest of church and then we went to my parents house.
Since church was at 11, we had sandwiches and then had an ice cream sundae bar. It was so fun!
The kids were exhausted and spent the afternoon watching a Garfield movie. They each had their own blanket and area. They are too funny.
With all the kids entertained Jace loved all the attention. He is the happiest sweetest baby I have ever known.
He lights up my world and I am so happy that he is my baby.
I love this little guy so much and cannot imagine my life without him.
Later in the afternoon, I laid down next to him on the couch. He sat and talked to me and gave me lots of kisses.
I of course had to grab my camera.
These little moments mean the world to me and I was so glad I was able to capture them.
Jacers your mama and daddy love you so much and we are so glad that you are here. You have already made an amazing impact on our lives and have taught us so much already. I knew you the moment you were born and I have never doubted that you are suppose to be here at this time and that you are in the right family. You are so loved and we are so lucky to have you. We love you so much!
