Florida for Thanksgiving

We went to Florida this year for Thanksgiving because uncle Connor's team was playing in the State play offs.
We stayed in a condo right on the beach.  We had a great time playing miniature golf.
Eating Thanksgiving dinner.  Jace had turkey for the first time and loved it!

We went on walks at least once a day on the beach and I actually got to run for the first time since my car accident.  It felt really good.

We went to Uncle Connor's game and they won!  It was quite an experience.  Not in the nicest neighborhood and we were the minority for sure!

But the best part of the trip was watching my boys play on the beach.  They just love it!

It was not very warm but that didn't stop Jacoby from going in.  He was the only one who went in!
Jace had a blast chasing birds.  He loved to crawl after them and when they started going too fast he wanted you to pick him up and chase them.  He was so funny!
and the celebration for my big 4 year old started in Florida!  Grandma and Grandpa J got him a cake and we opened some presents.  He thought it was great!  He only ate a few bites of his cake though and at that point I should have guessed that he was getting sick.  Jace had just gotten over croup and later that night Jacoby was so sick.  It never turned into croup but he was not feeling good.  We were glad to get home with our sick boys but we had a great time!

10 Months Old!

You are so much fun!!  You keep us laughing all day long and are the happiest baby I have ever known.  You love your big brother and always want to see what is going on.  You have to be in the middle of everything all the time and if you aren't you tell us about it.  We love you Jacers!
Some fun things about you.
1.  We are still struggling with your eczema.  You and mama are gluten free and have been for a few weeks.  At first I saw a huge improvement but recently you have had a big flare up again.  I am constantly trying to figure out what it is and I have still not given up but I am not sure if we will know without doing testing on you which I don't want to do yet.
2.  You are a great sleeper most of the time.  You nap twice a day.  One short and one long.  Sometimes you nap longer in the morning and some times in the afternoon.  I continue to go with the flow and it works for us.  At night you still wake up after about 45 minutes and then you go back to sleep.  You usually sleep a long time about 5 or 6 hours and then you wake up, eat and go back to sleep but then you are usually waking up every hour until morning.
3.  You get so excited to see Jacoby and love him so much.  You love to chase him around the house and you can go pretty fast these days.
4.  You have mastered going up the stairs but still working on going down.  You think you can go down them side ways?  Scary!  I have caught you so many times but you keep trying while I keep trying to convince you to turn around.
5.  You always have to have a treasure in your hand even when you fall asleep.  It is usually a crayon, spoon or pen.
6.  Still loves to nurse and does so on demand.  I actually don't even know how many times you do.  One of these days I guess I should count.
7.  You are enjoying food so much more these days.  You really enjoy the little baby food pouches that you can suck on.  Your favorite is the purple one that has purple carrots, blueberries and other purple things I can't think of right now.
8.  You love to sing songs.  You love the itsy bitsy spider and you try to do the hand motions.
9.  You are wearing size 3 diapers and you really don't like having us change your diaper.  I have to chase you around the house to dress you or to change you.
You are so much fun and we love you so much Jace!

Flowers

Every time Jacoby gets in trouble lately, he runs outside and picks me a flower.  He comes back in and hands it to me and then asks if I am happy now.  I have no idea where he came up with this but I am sure that it will work on most girls just like it does on his Mama.

Want to know

Want to know why I love to go home and do so as much as I possible can?
Because I have the most incredible family
and these are my favorite people to hang out with!
I have always loved coming from a big family
but I will tell you that never before has it been more fun than this.
It is crazy all the time!
Actually it is more like a zoo
and I leave Boise every time needing a vacation from my vacation
but it is all worth it to be around the most incredible mothers I know.
To watch my children play with their cousins
and to love on my niece and nephews.
To hang out with my best friends and
spend time with the ones who mean the most to me.
And especially to see my amazing parents.  My children are so lucky to have them and so am I.  I thank my Heavenly Father every day for sending me to the most amazing home with these amazing parents.
I love you all so much and I am so thankful for each and every one of you!

Riding

Grandma GG has a horse named Tex and when we went to Boise in November we went and rode him.  It was both of the boys first time and I hadn't been on one since Costa Rica.
He was so nice and Jacoby liked him but he was a little nervous at first.  He wanted me to ride with him.
He enjoyed the horse but I think he liked driving the tractor and throwing sticks to the dog better.
Jace on the other hand was in love!  He could not get enough.  The entire time he was on the horse he giggled and kept trying to pet Tex.
I think Tex felt the same way about him.
It was such a fun day!  Thanks so much Grandma GG!  We can't wait to do it again soon.
