Baby Update

We are still trying to get unpacked and settled in here in Ohio but we are loving it! My mom was here all last week and we worked like crazy- well she worked and I cheered her on- sewing curtains and pillows for my entire house. They turned out amazing like usual and I was so glad to have her here with me. We miss you already Mom! Thank you for everything we love you so much and all your support means the world to us!
I feel bad that I haven't documented as much with this pregnancy so thought I better get going. I am 23 weeks- wow! It is flying by. I am really enjoying being pregnant with this sweet baby and I am so excited to meet this special person in a few months.
On September 9, Jacoby felt his baby move for the first time. We had just woke up and were laying in bed and every morning he tells the baby good morning. He started to say good morning to my belly and the baby started moving. I took his hand and put it on my belly and sure enough the baby responded to his little voice with some really big kicks. He just started giggling with a huge smile on his face. It was the cutest thing ever! He is so excited about his baby coming. Now he has his hand on my belly most of the day and if the baby is not moving. He says, "I will wake up baby" and he tries with a huge raspberry right on my belly button. He is certain that will wake it up and it does most of the time. The baby responds to him so much and some of my favorite moments with this pregnancy have been cuddling with my Jacoby and feeling my little one moving inside. I love my children so much!
Daddy was a little jealous that Jacoby got to feel the baby move first but he didn't have to wait long. On September 10, Daddy felt the baby move for the first time. I love to see his face light up when he feels the kicks. It warms my heart.
My mom also got to feel the baby move on September 15. I was jumping because the kicks were so hard and she got to feel a few. I was excited for her to be here to feel the baby.
We have our ultrasound this Wednesday and I am so excited! We are not finding out what we are having this time again but I am so excited to get a glimpse on what this baby looks like. I am wondering if this one will have my nose too. I cannot wait!
We love this baby so much and we are so excited to meet this sweet baby hopefully in January.

Picking Grapes

I am finally in a house which means I get to start canning and have the food storage I have always wanted. One of the first things on my list that I wanted to can was grape juice. It is my favorite from growing up! I was so excited that grapes were in season when we got here since I missed everything else.

One Saturday in September, we drove to a farm only 30 minutes away and had a blast picking grapes. My mom was flyin in later that day and she was bringing her juicer with her.

We picked an entire bushel of grapes as we dodged bees. Jacoby loved it and as such a good help.

I am pretty sure he ate more then he picked though. They were so good and I am happy to report that the grape juice is even better. Next year I am going to have to do at least to bushels because we are drinking it so fast it will never last until next year!
