Walk the Talk

I have been so bad about posting anything these days but seriously how many pictures of Jarod and me can one take! So I will bring you up to speed without pictures this time.
I have taken on a HUGE project that has been utilizing much of my time. I am hoping to have the web site up and running soon.
Have you ever felt like all of your experiences have lead you to an exact moment in your life? I have been in the health insurance industry for 5 years and 3 of them have been in the wellness realm. I am extremely passionate about eating healthy, working out and the entire holistic approach. Not necessarily the norm in my industry. I am definitely the odd man out but I thrive on that and each day I try to challenge others in my industry and my clients to think differently and change their own behaviors. It is very frustrating for me to see health insurance costs and childhood obesity rise every year and our answer is just to medicate. I don't think we are getting at the root of the problem.
Every week I sit through meeting after meeting listening to how the insurance companies are starting to promote wellness. I am sure some of you have seen the commercials. Yet, internally we do nothing so a very good friend of mine in the industry and I decided enough was enough and we are challenging them to 'Walk the Talk'.
We have created a five week wellness challenge for the 5 biggest insurance carriers the 5 biggest brokers/consultants in the downtown area that will be taking place this summer. The buy in and support that we have received has been incredible!
I feel that all the experiences throughout my career has lead me here and I am so excited!

I had my Dr. appt. yesterday and for the last like three appointments my belly has measured like 2 and half weeks ahead of where I am supposed to be. They say that is still in the zone for being normal, but seriuosly I am starting to freak a little. I am not really excited about pushing a ginormous(is that the correct spelling?) baby out. I mean Rainy was big enough for me thanks. And I am not one who is like woo hoo lets do a c-section! I hope hope hope that they will induce me, break my water or something to prevent this little guy from being HUGE and save me from walking around with a pillow to sit on for months afterwards(that was embarrassing.)So to answer your question, the Dr. is still thinking the end of June, the 22nd is my due date.
