Spring Skiing

I was not very good about taking pictures this trip since this is all I have!
Jarod flew out on Monday to Austin, TX and Jacoby and I left Wednesday to go to Denver to see Grandma and Grandpa J, Connor and Collin. Jacoby was so excited to go on an airplane again and he was even more excited to go and see everyone. He was so excited that he only slept for about 20 minutes all day. When we finally got to Grandma J's house (as he calls it) he didn't even stop to eat dinner. He was so busy checking out all of his new toys and running around like a wild man.
On Thursday, Connor, Mary and I took Jacobes to the Denver Children's Museum which was great! He had the best time playing with bubbles, painting and hanging out with Uncle Connor and Grandma J. Thursday night Jarod flew in and we headed up to the cabin to go skiing on Friday and Saturday. Friday we went to Copper Mountain and had a blast! Jacobes stayed with Grandma J in the lodge and painted, played with airplanes and tractors and all the other toys she brought for him. He even took a nap with her at the lodge. Jarod and I had a great time skiing on our new skis. It was snowing and a little chilly that day but the snow was amazing. Later that night, Matt and Kim made the drive up from Omaha. It was fun catching up with them and having them there with us.

Saturday we went to Winter Park and it was perfect! The snow was fantastic, the weather was beautiful and we had the best time. I skied that morning and then when we stopped for lunch I stayed with Jacoby so Grandma J could go skiing. I was really excited to take him out and play in the snow on the sled but he decided he would rather nap in the ergo for 3 hours!! So I sat and people watched and there was a lot of that to do that day.

We had a great time at the cabin and it is pretty much done. It looked great and we really enjoyed being up there. Jacoby on the other hand just wanted to go back to Grandma J's house the entire time we were up there because he wanted to go see his tractors. He even woke us up a few times at night asking to go to grandma's house.

He got his wish on Sunday morning. As we were heading down the hill, we were in two cars and Mary called him to ask him what he wanted for lunch. She asked him if he wanted pizza and he said, "ummmm, not really." I about died laughing. He is so funny and you really can carry on an entire conversation with this little 2 year old. He is pretty amazing and doesn't skip a beat.

When we got back to Denver, he was on his tractor before we had the car unloaded. He loved all of his toys but this time the highlights were the two riding tractors and of course the drum set.

He was even more excited to have someone to ride it with him when Karrick came over. John Anderson was one of Jarod's best friends growing up and he happens to work at the bank around the corner from Jim and Mary. We got together on Sunday to catch up. It had been 13 years since we had seen him. I have known John since I was 10 or so and it was fun to see his little guy and him.
We told the boys that their dad's used to play football together but the settled on playing baseball instead.

We had the best time and it was so nice to have so much help with J. Mary was amazing with him and he had so much fun.
