Fall in Chicago

You know I think I would really like fall. The colors are beautiful the weather is nice in October here in Chicago. I love all the fall foods, football and apple season but the problem with fall is it leads to winter and winter and I do not get along! I was away from winter for too long living in California for me to ever like it again. Every year I dread it and every year we have the "worst winter in 40 years" according to the news and why oh why does it have to be when I live in Chicago!!
But if I just take fall on it's own and forget that it leads to winter, I really like fall especially when the trees look like this and I get to take my sweet baby out to play in the leaves for the first time!

He was so interested in the 20 other kids playing in the leaves to pose for a picture but he had a blast and played in the leaves for 2 hours and got so dirty!

We were there so long that Daddy came and found us after work. Jacoby loves that surprise at the park!

And we even got our family picture taken on this beautiful fall day (October 20 and it was even 70 in Chicago that day) by one of our neighbors! It was a big day for Jacoby, he not only got to play in the leaves for the first time but he got his first tooth that day as well! Bottom left.

Spaghetti Anyone??

The first part of October we gave Jacoby spaghetti for the first time. He absolutely loved it and could not get enough! We started eating with some nice manners...

then it turned into his whole entire fist in his mouth!

It just tasted so good that he did not have the patience to eat each noodle one by one.

When the noodles were gone, he licked the bowl just to make sure that he got every last morsel.

Then we sat in our chair with a little fat cat syndrome.

When we got our second wind we signed "All Done" and were on our way to eat some of remainders of the floor that he didn't get the first time around!

10 Months Old

Since my baby is going to be 11 months old next week thought I should finally get around to doing his 10 month post!

We took these pictures when we were in California a few weeks ago, that's why he is naked in October! My poor baby was not feeling well at all but he still had a few smiles for me when we took these pics.

1. Jacoby is talking! He says momma, dadda, uh-oh, hi and his new favorite word is ball

2. He is obsessed with balls and always has to have one with him and if he doesn't he is looking for one

3. Still does his kick stand crawl

4. Loves to eat! Is eating 3 times a day and loves it! He is turning into my carb baby though and we have to hide the bread because if he sees it he needs it. Some oh his favorites are spaghetti and eggs

5, Loves to go outside and gets all excited about it as we open the door

6. Is starting to pick up on signing and signs more, all done (especially after he has been in his car seat for seconds!), ball and my favorite milk! He signs milk and then hands me his binky when he wants to nurse. It is so funny!

7. Is my good little napper and one of the naps is usually 1 1/2- 2 hours but it changes every day which one is the long one

8. Still in size 3 diapers and probably will be for a very long time. Is wearing 9-12 month clothes but we are having a hard time finding pants that fit him! They are all too big but he needs the length so he either has capris that fit him in the waist or low riders that go to the ankles.

9. Mimics everything we do from sneezing, clapping, coughing, snapping, funny noises, everything!

10. He is so much fun and we love him so much!

10 Month Photo Shoot

I have been working on my photography lately with a photographer who has taken me under her wing so poor Jacoby is constantly having to pose for the camera but here are a few shots that we got the day he turned 10 months at Lincoln Park.

I love that we are private now so I can bombard everyone with pictures of my baby!

Swimming in Idaho

My mom, dad, Ty, Kimber and I took the 3 boys swimming when we were in Idaho. All of us had a great time, except we are not so sure about Jacoby. He is usually full of smiles and loves the water but he just kept this funny face on him the entire time and we could not crack a smile. The water was like bath water and it was almost like he was trying to figure out why all of these people were in his bath with him. It was pretty funny!

Michael had a great time showing off all of his tricks and Boden had fun playing as well. The only thing Jacoby was interested in was the big balls in the pool. At one point my dad tried to lift him up out of the water and he had such a tight grip on the ball that it went with him out of the water. The ball was bigger than he was. To say they least my little guy was not so sure what to think but the rest of us had a great time!

Horseshoe Bend Fun

We had so much fun in Idaho in September but the week always goes by way too fast! We got to meet Sarge with Uncle Derek.

Was so interested in how they did that that I thought I would try it out for myself

Even th0ugh I was a little Rookie my mommy could not believe that I knew how to do stairs and did them well

especially since I had never seen them before! And yes I do stairs just like I crawl with my little kick stand.

We played outside as much as possible and Boden was showing off his trick of riding everything backwards!

It was so fun seeing everyone! Can't wait until Thanksgiving!

A Boy and His Dog

Michael loves his dog Tank and Tank is such a good dog and puts up with all the loves!

McCall, Idaho

We continued the tradition this year and took a girls trip to McCall for my Grandma's Birthday. We had a much better time this year since none of us were sick!!

It was a bitter sweet trip for us though because we took Lacy back to Idaho after living with us for 2 months. We had the best time having her here and we sure do miss her!! But we had so much fun seeing everyone else!!

We drove up on Friday and stayed until Sunday. Jacoby did great! He was loving all the kids. I was a little worried about him keeping everyone up at night but I am glad to report that he did great!

All the girl cousins- there are a few of us that look a little tired after being up late and up early with the little ones but it was all worth it.

I love this picture of the Domeny girls. Jacoby is staring at Aunt Kimber and we are all talking over the top of each other- typical!

Every time we are all together we try to get a picture of all the great grandkids with my Grandma. It's always a lot of fun and the moms look like idiots trying to get there attention. I love that Jacoby is the only one looking this time.

We ate lots of good food including all the chocolate dishes every one brought and we enjoyed each others company even with 8under the age of 3!!
