Back in the old stompin grounds

Elish and Rob had to go back to work but we stayed in San Diego and showed Jacoby the rest of the sights. We took him to Balboa one morning for a long walk around the beautiful park. Jacoby saw the stage from a distance and had to go on it. The kid loves stages. Give him a stage and he will dance and sing for you. I love it!

We hit up the koi pond and walked through the gardens before heading to our next adventure. We met up for dinner with Katie and Wes who live in SD. We went to this amazing fish house that we had never eatin at before. We also went out for ice cream. The following morning we got up and went to Hash Hash a Go-Go for breakfast. Our favorite place. Then we headed up to Point Loma to the light house.

There are amazing views up there and it is so peaceful.

As we were standing taking in the sights we saw a submarine starting to come out of the water. Now that's something you don't see every day. It was so cool.

As soon as they could the men starting coming our and standing on the ledge. I am sure they were so glad to be home and it was so cool watching.

One last shot of the city we love so much!

We took Jacoby down to the tide pools and all he wanted to do was get in. We didn't come very well prepared but we stripped him down to his diaper and I rolled up my shorts and we went in. It was Jarod's turn to watch from the warm side. Then we went to the Gourmet Bagger for lunch and headed back for nap time.
We had the best time staying in downtown. Hitting up all of our old places and reminiscing about our time in SD. We sure do miss it. But I will tell you that what we miss the most about SD is living close to the Benson's. We lived it up for sure because we both knew it wasn't going to last too much longer but it was the best time and I hope that some day in our future we can live close to each other again or at least closer so we can see each other more often.
