Go Loggers!

After our few days in SD, we drove to LA to spend time with Hank and Dee. We had a great day with Hank at Venice and having some great conversation like we always do. Elish and Rob headed up on Friday night and met us at the Crespi football game. Then they stayed with us the rest of the weekend at the Shaw's. Saturday morning we headed to the beach one more time and Jacoby and Brayden had a blast trying out surfing in Malibu.

They both had amazing balance and thought is was a blast even though it was absolutely freezing!

That night we made the trek to Pasadena for the Occidental vs. Puget Sound football game to cheer on Uncle Jeff who is the head coach of Puget Sound now. I made these cute shirts for the boys and Elish and I had gone shopping while in SD and got them these cute jeans as well.

I was a little nervous because the game didn't even start until 7 pm California time- 9 our time- but Jacoby did great. Brayden and him ran around and had a great time.

We couldn't even get them to hold still for pictures.

Coach Thomas had two little boys who were ready to play!

Dee was amazing and chased Jacoby around the entire night and let me sit and visit with everyone. Jeff's entire family was there from AZ along with some other old college friends. It was fun to see every one and catch up.
Jacoby was a HUGE hit with the students and every time he ran pass them he would give them all high fives and make faces at the mascot or blow kisses. He was loving life.

He also clapped and cheered Uncle Jeff's team on.

Uncle Jeff trying to pump his team up. They ended up loosing but we had a great time.

After the game, the boys (young and old) had a great time playing on the field. Mind you this is at 10:30 and they were still kickin.

They had so much fun tackling each other and chasing each other around. Love this picture of B!

It was fun to have Hank and Dee there too. It was like old times when they used to come out for Jarod's games in California at the same stadium.

Best of friends. They both stand on their tip toes every time we take a picture to make them look taller than the other- nothing has changed since college. I think Jeff won this time.

Put me in coach!!

I have to admit that it was a little emotional for me to see Jeff leading his team out on to the field. I turned around to his mom and sister and say I can't believe that I am crying over this as they both were teary eyed too. I am so happy for him and what an amazing thing to be a head coach at such a young age. He is going places and we could not be happier for him. We love you Uncle Jeff!
