Louisville, Kentucky

On the way home from Nashville we spent a night in Louisville, Kentucky.  I was so impressed with this little town.  First of all they had a Naartijie and I scored all of the kids summer clothes for next year.  Secondly, they had the coolest museum!!  It was the Louisville slugger museum and I would highly recommend it.  We loved it!
This was not posed.  He kept walking around pretending to stand like all the statues.  He really likes statues and likes to pretend even at home that he is one.  It is how we get him to hold still.
Babe Ruth's bat!  He put a notch every time he hit a home run on this bat.  So cool!
This was someone famous' bat.  I don't remember who but
I know exactly who Jarod had.  Derek Jeter of course!
The museum part was really cool and we all really enjoyed it but the coolest part was going on the tour of the factory.
The didn't let you take pictures in there but it was fascinating to see how they do it and then they gave us the remnants of a professional bat and Jace thinks it is the best chew toy ever.

Then we hit up the batting cages.  The little ones for Jacoby
and the big kids one for Daddy.  Jarod got to swing Derek Jeter's bat and hit some balls.  It was a huge highlight for him and it was good to see he still has his touch.  He hit five for five and hit them well.  Jacoby enjoyed hearing the crack of the bat.
They gave everyone these cute little Louisville Slugger bats and then we also got a new hat rack for the boys' room that is a baseball bat cut in half.
We had the best time and I think Jarod and I even enjoyed it more!

That looks like a really great place for your baseball loving Family. I really like the picture of Jace and the chew toy! His eyes are so blue!
