For Labor Day weekend we took another five hour drive to Nashville, Tennessee. I have always wanted to go to Nashville and we had the best reason to go. Jeff's team, Puget Sound was playing a school called University of the South in Sawanee, TN. It was in the middle of no where but this campus was incredible.
It was the first game of the season for Puget Sound and here is Jeff getting the team ready before opening kick off. It was so fun to see him so excited and once again watching him do what he loves makes me emotional. Jarod and I were both a little choked up at the beginning of the game.
It was so hot but we brought some umbrellas for shade and Jace and I spent a lot of time under the trees in the end zone. There was a hurricane going through that area of the nation but luckily for us it waited until after the game.
After the game, we went down and saw Uncle Jeff and he gave Jacoby the coin that was flipped at the beginning of the game. Jacoby was very excited!
It was so good to see him. We love Jeff and I love the friendship that Jarod has with him as well as the one I share with him. He is a huge part of our life, even Jace shares his middle name with Jeff (wasn't the only reason we named him Jace Daniel but it was a reason).
Then Jeff had to go back to the team so we played a little football on the field.
Jacoby kicked field goals with his shoes, tackled Daddy and Jace.
and Jace did his first touch down dance in the end zone with Mama.
Later that night we went and spent more time with Jeff. Jarod and I were so glad to be there for the start of another season for Jeff. We love you Uncle Jeff!
